Bones in Sydney NP 'believed to be human'

Bones discovered in bushland south of Sydney are believed to be human, NSW Police say.

A crime scene was established at Sir Bertram Stevens Drive in the Royal National Park on Saturday after the bones were discovered before 5pm by a passing motorist.

The driver had pulled over when they noticed something suspicious, a police spokeswoman told AAP on Monday when confirming authorities now "believe the bones are human".
