Bone found on Sydney beach to be tested

A bone believed to be human has been found on a northern Sydney beach and sent for forensic testing.

A member of the public found the bone on Mona Vale beach on Sunday morning.

"Police are fairly confident at this stage that it is a human bone but it's been taken off for forensic analysis just to confirm," a police spokeswoman said.

Police will investigate depending on the results of the test.
