Riding high on a wave of international success, including surfing some of the world’s biggest waves and international competitions, it’s hard to believe Kobi Clements is just nine-year-old.

Kobi, from Sydney’s northern beaches, already has a passport that would make the average traveler very jealous, competing in Hawaii, the Maldives and California.

This year he fearlessly took off at Hawaii's famous pipeline, finishing second in his competition debut which qualified him for the world championships in the US later this year.

Kobi’s developed his skills under the tutelage of his father former pro surfer Steve Clements, even starting surfing almost before he was walking; first hoping on a board at Waikiki aged one.

And while he’s already enjoying serious success, it might be a few years yet before Kobi gets a chance at his next goal – taking on Australian triple world champion “White Lightning” Mick Fanning.
