Alleged child porn possessor denied bail

A former dance teacher and teacher's aide allegedly caught with child porn had expressed desires to have sex with a 15-year-old girl, a Sydney court has heard.

Sergio Montoya, 48, breathed heavily and looked frantically around Newtown Local Court after he was denied bail on Friday afternoon.

He was allegedly caught with hundreds of images and at least three videos of child abuse material and Magistrate Robert Williams found he posed a risk of reoffending and failing to appear at future court dates.

Montoya will next appear at Central Local Court in January, where he will face six charges including producing or possessing child abuse material.
