Accused drunken brawler to front court
An allegedly drunk man has been accused of threatening and assaulting a man with a gun after a scuffle at a caravan park on the NSW and Victorian border.
It's alleged that after a fight with two others on Saturday night the man, 22, left the park and returned with a rifle.
"The armed man allegedly threatened one of the males involved in the altercation, before assaulting him with the firearm," police said.
"A struggle ensued between the man and a number of witnesses, before the armed man drove from the scene."
He was charged with 11 offences, including possessing a loaded firearm in a public place after officers found him near a car that had rolled into a ditch near the Buronga caravan park.
He was breath tested and allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.107.
The man is due to appear before Wentworth Local Court on Sunday.
Investigations continue with assistance from Victorian police.
