Residents brace for floods after warnings on NSW Mid North Coast
Residents on the NSW Mid North Coast are on high alert after being warned their homes could flood in the coming days.
Rivers are filling fast and just today, many towns received more than 100mm of rain.
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of destructive winds, abnormally high tides, and damaging surf.
Multiple flood warnings are in place for parts of the NSW North Coast.
An evacuation order had been issued earlier for residents living in parts of the NSW north coast.
The order applied to anyone living in the vicinity of 59 – 69 Boronia Street, Sawtell, where almost 150mm has fallen in less than 24 hours.

State emergency services and NSW Police door-knocked residents in this location urging them to self-evacuate to higher ground.
Since then, they have been given the all clear to return home — for now.
Coffs Harbour SES worked throughout the night responding to numerous incidents and are currently operational around the clock.
The Bureau of Meteorology also issued a minor flood warning along the Bellinger River at Thora.
Heavy rainfall has been recorded across the Bellinger River catchment since Friday night.
