Four people rescued after getting stuck in rip at Sydney's Bronte Beach
Four people have had to be rescued from Sydney's Bronte Beach at dusk after they became stuck in a strong rip.
A man and three women, all aged in their 30s, got stuck in a rip in the ocean at Bronte Beach, Bondi, around 8pm yesterday.
Six ambulances, police rescue and a helicopter were lined up to help with the rescue but were not needed.

Witnesses told Today that the beach was unpatrolled at the time, but a lifeguard had repeatedly warned people to stay clear of the water, due to dangerous conditions.
"The police pushed everyone off the sand, off the beach, closed the beach and that's when all the ambulances arrived," the witness said.
"It was also rather confronting, I've never seen anything like this before.
"Like seeing three or four people on the ground, just like not moving."
All four people were taken to hospital and are all in a stable condition.
