Sydney train commuters face more delays as chaos continues into evening rush
Trains are still being delayed in Sydney after earlier commuter chaos.
Transport bosses have said four lines continue to be affected, as this evening’s rush hour approaches.
The repairs have since affected multiple lines around the Sydney metro network and caused long queues on platforms. 9news
The T2 Inner West and Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line and T8 Airport and South Line are all being impacted.
Travellers are being told to allow extra time.
According to timetable updates, some trains are running as much as 45 minutes late.

Commuters inside carriages have also been left to deal with overcrowding as a result of the delays. 9news
Replacement buses were put on between Redfern, Strathfield and Lidcombe to help cover the delays to the network caused by the repairs.
Buses are also replacing some services between Campbelltown and Macarthur and Glenfield and Leppington.
Sydney Trains says on its website: “Allow plenty of extra travel time due to a power outage which affected all signalling between Strathfield and Ashfield earlier.”
Also today, new timetables were rolled on the north shore to accommodate the new North West Metro line.
Meanwhile, trackwork is due to start tonight on the City Circle.
From 11.30pm until 3.59am every night this week, trains will run in one direction only from Central, first stop Town Hall.
