Body found in search for Newcastle woman missing for three months
NSW Policebelieve they have found the body of a woman who went missing in Newcastle three months ago.
The 68-year-old woman was last seen in early May, with her disappearance reported to police in Newcastle on May 9.
A police statement said a body had been located at around 9am during a search of a property at Birmingham Gardens, about nine kilometres west of Newcastle's CBD.

Police and the SES had been searching in the area, as well as in nearby Jesmond and Martins Creek north of Newcastle between May and June.
The body has not been formally identified, but they believe it is of the missing woman.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
