Man arrested after walker allegedly stabbed in Melbourne park
A man has been arrested more than a week after a walker was allegedly stabbed while on an early morning stroll in Melbourne's south-east.
The 70-year-old man was walking with a woman in Narre Warren when he was allegedly approached by a stranger and stabbed just before 7am on October 2.
He suffered arm injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

The woman was not injured.
Police have been searching for the person responsible and today arrested a 39-year-old man just 1500m from where the attack took place.
He is now being interviewed by police.
Charges have not yet been laid.
