'Loved colleague' and Crossfit fan Chris Head named as City2Surf heart attack victim

Fox Sports employee and fitness enthusiast Chris Head has been named as the man who suffered a heart attack and died after the City2Surf.
Mr Head, 27, of Coogee, collapsed metres from the finish line at Bondi Beach in Sydney and was pronounced dead on arrival at St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst.
A committed fitness fan, Mr Head wrote about his intense preparation for City2Surf on his Facebook wall in the lead-up to the charity race.
He was also a CrossFit devotee and had recently returned from a trip to Kakadu in the Northern Territory.
CrossFit is a US company that offers quick, high-intensity workouts designed to build muscle and burn fat. It has gained in popularity in recent years and has a number of trainers and fans in Australia.
The Daily Mail reported that Fox Sports CEO Patrick Delany confirmed Mr Head's death in an email to staff, describing him as a "much-loved" colleague.
He encouraged other Fox Sports staff to rally behind and support Mr Head's family.
It has been reported that Mr Head's partner was taking part in City2Surf yesterday as well, but she was not with him when he collapsed.
