Young father shot dead at party in Victorian border town
A young father has been gunned down and left to die on a road after a house party turned violent.
Police said Duwayne Johnson, 26, was shot in the chest at 3am in Wodonga, on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales.
About a dozen people were partying at a house in Woodland Street, the home of a young single mum, police said.

But an argument broke out between the victim and another man who then pulled out a gun, shooting him at close range at 3am.
After leaving his victim in a pool of blood, police say the lone gunman got into a light-coloured sedan and sped off in an easterly direction.
Neighbours then ran out to try and save the young man's life.
"All I have to say is why? He was just a young man with his life ahead of him," Johnson's uncle told 9News.

Police said police were keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.
