More than 2500 evacuated after fire at Sydney aquatic centre
More than 2500 people have been evacuated from Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre after its solar panels caught fire.
Six fire trucks and 24 Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters were called to the building at 12.15pm today after reports of black smoke coming from the building.
Crews used a ladder platform to attack the flames on the roof of the facility and contained the blaze within 45 minutes.

A swimming carnival was in progress at the centre at the time of the incident.
All people were safely evacuated and there were no reported injuries.
The aquatic centre will be closed for the remainder of the afternoon.
"We thank all of our patrons and staff for their patience and cooperation during this time," Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre said on social media.
