Over 100 charged in 'dial a dealer' crackdown in Sydney

More than 100 people have been charged during a police operation targeting alleged "dial-a-dealer" networks in Sydney.

The targeted operation was carried out across the city during the past three weekends.

A total of 108 people were charged, including 64 with drug supply and 44 with drug possession, while one person was also charged with domestic violence-related offences.

Police also seized drugs with an estimated street value of $210,000, including almost 560 grams of cocaine in more than 650 individual bags, 78 caps of MDMA, cannabis, THC edibles, ketamine, and ice.

Officers also seized more than $99,000 and five vehicles.

NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Peter McKenna, said anti-dealer operations in Sydney would continue.

"We opened 2024 with a significant operation targeting major dealers and have continued to put pressure on illegal drug distribution, with these three weekends of action focused on street-level distributors," he said.
