More comms problems for Tas Ambulance

Ambulance Tasmania's uninterruptible power supply system has again failed, cutting off a triple-zero call during the second outage in six weeks at its Hobart communications centre.
The latest power shortage occurred at about 6.30am on Friday, and Ambulance Tasmanian boss Dominic Morgan said the problem had been traced to the system due to be replaced after a July 5 problem.
"Contact was re-established with the (emergency) caller within one minute and 37 seconds (and) an ambulance was dispatched to a patient with a medical condition," he said, adding that normal services had resumed by 8.30am.
