Man missing for two weeks found alive on Queensland beach

A man who was believed dead after he went missing two weeks ago has been found dehydrated and sunburnt on a Queensland beach.
Loved ones feared the worst for Garry Amey, 60, after he failed to return home from a walk along Kewarra Beach in Cairns.
But despite speculation he had drowned or been taken by a crocodile, Mr Amey was miraculously found on Wangetti Beach today, about 20km north from where he disappeared.

The circumstances of the discovery are unclear.
Queensland Police said they had “no idea” where Mr Amey had been for the past fortnight.
He was taken to Cairns Base Hospital for severe sunburn and dehydration.
The search for Mr Amey was officially called off just four days ago.
