MH17 victims remembered with love in Aust

Malcolm Turnbull has marked the second anniversary of the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in Ukraine by paying tribute to the loved ones of the victims.

The prime minister and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said the grief of family and friends is a reminder that love is much stronger than hatred.

"As the sunflowers bloom again in this Ukrainian summer, we remember the victims and recommit our love and support to their families and friends," they said in a joint statement on Sunday.
