Milk crate hero 'relieved' after Sydney stabber pleads guilty to murder
The South Australian man who famously restrained Mert Ney with a milk crate after a stabbing rampage in Sydney's CBD has spoken to 9News after the killer pleaded guilty in court.
Jase Shore and several other bystanders were caught up in the violence after 22-year-old Ney murdered Michaela Dunn and seriously wounded another person in central Sydney last August.

Ney pleaded guilty today, and Mr Shore said he was relieved.
"It's great news, it's really good news," he said.
Mr Shore was the man who held Ney down with a milk crate and stopped him from attacking others – but he said he didn't see himself as a hero.
"If it's a good thing that I've done, then I'm happy with that."

Ney's case will return to the Supreme Court in December for sentencing.
Outside court, his lawyer Zemarai Khatiz said he was doing much better with his mental health struggle.
"He has accepted responsibility for what he has done… he is very sorry," Mr Khatiz said.
