Melbourne woman pleads for her missing mum to come back in time for her wedding

The daughter of a woman who went missing near Geelong more than two years ago has launched a crusade to find her mother by her wedding day.

Mother-of-five Lorrin Whitehead disappeared from Bannockburn on February 8, 2013, but her family still does not have the answers they're looking for.

Ms Whitehead's last known whereabouts were captured on camera, shopping at her local supermarket.

The 42-year-old had no history of mental health issues and had finalised a divorce just months prior.

Her five children are desperate for answers, particularly eldest daughter Amelia, who is about to get married.

"The unknown is the hardest part, and every day you are so missed, you are so missed," she said.

"I trust my instincts, there was nothing wrong the last time I spoke to her."

After Ms Whitehead vanished, her home was searched where authorities found the front door unlocked, something her family said she never did.

Her laptop and iPad were also missing, however everything else was left untouched, including insulin used to treat her diabetes.

The police investigation has been extensive and has involved the police airwing, dog squad, and the homicide squad.

Police will not rule out foul play.

"If you've done something to her, or an accident, or foul play, I forgive you," Amelia said.

Amelia has not given up hope that her mother will be back in time to walk her down the aisle.

"There's a spot at my wedding until the minute I walk down the aisle, I have my arm open and ready," she said.
