Storms rock Victoria for second day after more than 900 calls for help
Storms and heavy rain are hitting Melbourne again today after heavy hail and rain battered the city yesterday, causing widespread damage and prompting more than 900 calls for help.
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned possible severe storms are most likely for metro Melbourne throughout the late morning, with storms expected to impact the majority of the state.
The northern suburbs and eastern ranges will also likely be hit with storms in the early afternoon into tonight.

Passengers hoping to fly out from Melbourne Airport have been urged to check for delays and flight cancellations due to adverse weather.
The clean up from yesterday's wild weather is continuing across Victoria.
The State Emergency Service received a total 879 calls for assistance between 9am yesterday and 7am today.
Residents around the state reported 357 instances of trees downed by storms.
A further 252 distress calls were put out for flooding, and the SES also received 210 calls for building damage.

The worst affected areas were around Ballarat and Wangaratta.
Today the bureau has advised that showers and possible storms were expected for the majority of the state, with Geelong, Laverton, Ballarat, Bendigo and up to the NSW border all in the firing line of storms.

A major Victorian freeway into Melbourne was closed after a collision resulted in a truck knocking down a power pole in the midst of the state's wild weather.
All northbound lanes of the Hume Freeway were closed at Donnybrook Road after the collision.
