Two separate businesses destroyed after suspicious fire in Melbourne
Investigations are underway after two separate Italian restaurants were destroyed by fire in Melbourne's north-west overnight.
Emergency Services were first called to La Porchetta on the Melton Highway in Taylors Lakes about 2.45am after receiving reports of a fire.
Detective Senior Constable Rhiannon Downs said the business was significantly damaged.

Downs said two offenders had been spotted exiting a dark four-door sedan moments before the fire.
She said the business owners were completely devastated by the damage.
A crime scene was established and police are investigating.

About 15 minutes later, fire crews were called to Negroni 888 on Mount Alexander Road in Essendon.
The business was destroyed and another crime scene was established.
Police are investigating both fires and believe they are suspicious.
Downs said officers were unable to confirm whether the two fires were linked.
