Manhunt after family home sprayed with bullets while children were asleep
Children have narrowly escaped serious injury after bullets came flying into their bedroom while they were sound asleep.
A manhunt is now underway for the gunmen who targeted the family home in Melbourne's west.
Almost a dozen gunshots were sprayed at the house in Albion early this morning.

"I was coming out to put some rubbish in the recycling bin and all I heard was 'bang, bang, bang' and I thought, I ain't going out there," neighbour Troy, said
It's understood up to 12 people were at the home.
The bullets were fired while children were asleep in a bunk bed just centimetres from the window.
"It's not a nice thing to wake up to because you've got a lot of kids around here as well, a lot of families," neighbour Tina said.
Burnewang Street was cordoned off from 5.30am as detectives marked bullet holes and casings.
Why the property was targeted is still being investigated.
The offenders took off in a car and they remain on the run.
