Man charged after alleged hit-run that left woman with life-threatening injuries in Noble Park
A 64-year-old man has been charged nearly two days after a woman was struck by a van in an alleged hit-run in Melbourne's south-east.
Sarah Phillips, 34, was rushed to hospital after being allegedly hit after crossing Heatherton Road, near Avon Street, in Noble Park with her partner about 7pm on Saturday.
It's alleged the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Paul Chircop, Phillips' partner, had made an emotional plea earlier this morning for the driver to come forward.
"She's a beautiful person. She's a lovely girl, she's got a big heart," an emotional Chircop told 9News.
Phillips sustained critical injuries and remains at The Alfred hospital in intensive care fighting for life.

Neighbours and a number of witnesses stopped to help Phillips after she was struck and provided first aid until emergency services arrived.
A Dandenong North man presented to police this afternoon and has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to render assistance.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
