Close shave for Melbourne bearded burglar caught on CCTV footage

A thief who has disguised himself with glasses and a fake bushranger-style beard has been targeting industrial sites in outer Melbourne.

Victoria police said the man has damaged security cameras during burglaries at three industrial lots in Somerville and Carrum Downs, from May to August.

Police have released an image of the man wearing a cap, glasses and a fake beard covering most of his face, and also a photo where he was not yet wearing his disguise.

The bearded burglar has had a few close shaves and was captured on CCTV at three separate industrial areas.

The man is described as being Caucasian, clean-shaven and aged between 18 to 25 years.
