One arrested, murder investigation underway after man found dead in Melbourne

A man has been arrested after another was found dead at a home in a popular coastal suburb in south-east Melbourne.

Police were called to Foote Street in the affluent suburb of Brighton about 8.30pm yesterday and found a man with serious injuries.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the unidentified man died at the home.

Police said a 52-year-old man at the scene was arrested and is being questioned while homicide detectives investigate how the man died.
