Parents of boy, 12, killed walking home from school forgive driver
The parents of a 12-year-old boy who was hit by a car and killed in Melbourne on Friday have forgiven the driver involved in the crash.
Kye Duclos was walking home from school when he stepped out onto a road in Mulgrave.
He had taken a selfie on the way home, and not long after, was killed when crossing a busy intersection.

His father Michael called him "just a ridiculously amazing kid".
"It's the most devastating thing in the world to have happened," he said.
Kye's parents were called to the scene and saw the driver.
"I gave them the briefest, 'I'm sorry this has happened'. It's not that person's fault," Mr Duclos said.

An off-duty mobile intensive care ambulance paramedic desperately tried to save Kye's life.
But the lover of fishing and the outdoors could not be saved.
"Was the most horrifying thing in the world to witness," Mr Duclos said.
"I've lost my boy. I've lost the best mate a father could of ever wanted."

Kye's parents want to honour their son with a service that pays tribute to him and the outdoors, the place he loved the most.
The driver involved has cooperated with police and no charges have been laid.
