McCulkin murder trial jury given weekend off to deliberate

The jury in the McCulkin family murder trial has the weekend off as they consider whether Garry Dubois is guilty of their deaths.
Justice Peter Applegarth sent the jury home on Friday afternoon after they were unable to reach a verdict in deliberating for about eight hours since the previous day.
Dubois, 69, is on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court for the rape and murder of siblings Vicki and Leanne McCulkin and the murder of their mother Barbara.
It's alleged Dubois and Vincent O'Dempsey, who will stand trial next year, took the family from their Highgate Hill home and killed them in bushland on or about January 16, 1974.
The trial will continue on Monday.
