Paramedics have raced to a workplace in Newcastle after employees were exposed to a chemical this morning.
Five NSW Ambulance crews responded to a chemical exposure call at a location on Woodstock Street in Mayfield West shortly before 8am.

Initial reports suggest there are multiple patients being treated at the site.
It is unclear what chemical the employees have been exposed to.
