Masked crossbow-wielding man arrested

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly walked around an outer suburb of Bunbury, south of Perth, wearing a mask and carrying a crossbow.

The man was seen walking along Australind's Cathedral Avenue, which runs alongside Leschanault Inlet, on Monday afternoon.

Concerned members of the public contacted police.

The man has been charged with going armed in public and is due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
