Death at popular WA beach not suspicious

The discovery of a man's body at a beach in Perth's north this morning is not being treated as suspicious.

Authorities said the 23-year-old’s body was discovered by a beachgoer on Bennion Beach in Trigg shortly after 6am.

A police spokeswoman said a report would be prepared for the coroner and roads would be re-opened soon.

Dozens of police had attended the scene, including homicide detectives and forensic officers, who scoured the area for several hours.
