Violent stabbing leads to police chase across Gold Coast

A man has been bashed and stabbed in a car park on the Gold Coast leading to a dramatic police chase.

The 49-year-old victim was trying to escape his attacker when he crashed his Bentley into a kerb at Firth park in Mudgeeraba.

His attacker pounced, beating the man and stabbing him twice in the left-hand side of the chest. It's understood the pair are known to each other.

The victim is in a stable condition in hospital with a 3cm wound to the chest.

The alleged attacker, 39, was later arrested at Kings Christian College in front of horrified students.
