Gunman at large after man shot in leg at Logan home

A gunman is at large and police are hunting for at least two weapons following a shooting in Logan, south of Brisbane.

The sound of gunfire rang out on Wunburra Street in Waterford West about 11.30pm yesterday, where police found a 34-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to his leg.

The group of assailants, who were covering their faces, are then believed to have fled in a car from a nearby street.

Detectives close to the investigation have told 9NEWS the victim told officers he didn’t know who was responsible.

It’s understood the man came outside after he heard a commotion, before he was shot at.

Senior Sergeant Kylie Bruce said several weapons may have been used.

“We have two different calibre rounds so we are looking possibly for two different firearms,” she said.

The victim was taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital in a stable condition where he is expected to undergo surgery today.
