Woman charged with murder after Gold Coast shooting

A woman has been charged with murder after a man was shot dead near a primary school on the Gold Coast yesterday.

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a shot fired at a home on Imperial Parade in Labrador - across the road from Labrador State School - just after 2pm.  

An injured 43-year-old man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Late yesterday, a 48-year-old woman was charged with murder.

Police said the man and woman were known to each other, and believe the shooting occurred inside the house.

The woman is due to face Southport Magistrates court today.
