Man killed in Vic head-on crash

A man has died after his car veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with another vehicle in Melbourne.

Police say the man's car was travelling along the Nepean Highway at Seaford about 10.20pm (AEDT) on Wednesday when it collided head-on with the other car.

The man in his 40s died at the scene.

The female driver of the other car was taken to Frankston Hospital with minor injuries.

The death takes Victoria's road toll to five compared with three at the same time last year.
