Man in hospital after driving nose first into opened underground carpark

A man is in hospital after driving his van into hole in a construction site yesterday evening.
The man was on his way to a job when he lost control of his vehicle and drove into a building under construction in Campsie.
The van fell nose-first into the basement area of the building, coming to rest on its bonnet in the underground car park below.

The driver was the only person in the van and was rescued from the vehicle by emergency services.
He was transported to hospital for precautionary medical checks.
Police are investigating the accident.
