The teenage son of a 51-year-old man stabbed to death in his Gippsland unit may have been home at the time of the attack.
Police arrested a man in a nearby unit shortly after they arrived and he is assisting them with their inquiries.
Paramedics were called to a Churchill Street unit in Warragul about 6.45am where they found the man with stab wounds.

He was unable to be revived and died at the scene.
“I believe his son was present at the time,” Sergeant Roy Moore told 9NEWS.
“When we arrived there were other neighbours in the street and we’ve had to establish who was a relevant witness.
“Statements have been taken from those persons.”
The Homicide Squad is investigating the crime.
