Man filmed stealing handbag from Melbourne churchgoer

A man has been caught on CCTV allegedly stealing a woman’s handbag at a church south-east of Melbourne.

He allegedly entered St Anthony’s Parish in Noble Park on July 1, where he snatched a woman’s handbag and then later used her keys to enter her home, police said.

A laptop and credit cards were stolen from the home.

The credit cards were later used to make multiple purchases in the Noble Park area, police said.

Police have released the CCTV footage in the hope that someone can identify the suspect.
