Man drowns at Pretty Beach on NSW Far South Coast

A man found face down in the water at a beach on New South Wales’ Far South Coast today has died.
Emergency services were called to Pretty Beach, north of Batemans Bay, at 2.30pm today in response to reports a man had become distressed while in the ocean, according to a police statement.
The man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found by his would-be rescuers face down in the water.

They attempted to revive him, but when paramedics arrived he was pronounced dead.
Authorities from the South Coast Police District are investigating the circumstances around the incident.
