Motorist aged in his 30's killed as car and bus crash in Sydney

A man has died following a major car crash in Fairfield this morning.

The man was driving on Polding Street North when his black sedan collided with a bus at the Ace Avenue intersection.

Police confirmed the driver of the black sedan, aged in his 30's , died at the scene.

The driver of the bus is being treated for shock. There were no passengers on board at the time.

Emergency services remain at the scene and Polding Street is closed in both directions.

A 72-year-old remains in a serious condition after he was hit by a bus in Botany and another man died when he was hit by a bus in Smithfield, both last week.
