A man has died after his car crashed into the back of a parked truck in southwest Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Heathcote Road and Pleasure Point Road in Pleasure Point just before 11am on Thursday, police say.

It's unknown if anybody was inside the parked truck, but a NSW Ambulance spokesman said a patient with no obvious injuries was treated at the scene.

On Wednesday, the wife of an elderly man who was killed when their car crashed into a ditch on the NSW Central Coast also died from her injuries.

The 82-year-old driver died at the scene on Rutleys Road at Mannering Park on Tuesday afternoon.

His 84-year-old wife, who was a passenger, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, but died on Wednesday.
