Sydney man charged with running over, torturing kangaroos
A Sydney man has been hit with animal torture charges after allegedly running over and mutilating several kangaroos.
In September this year, police began investigating CCTV of a vehicle that appeared to be deliberately running over kangaroos in Running Stream, 60km north of Lithgow.
On Friday, October 18, police charged a 20-year-old Balgowlah Heights man with several offences, including animal torture.

He will appear in court today.
Police will allege the man intentionally ran down several adult and infant kangaroos before he mutilated the body of one of the animals.
