Body found in search of remote property for allegedly murdered grandfather Edwin Dobbin
Police believe they have found the body of a missing and allegedly murdered man during a search of a rural property north-west of Sydney.
Miniature horse breeder Edwin Dobbin, 82, was reported missing from his home in Leppington, in the city's south-west, on September 25.
He has not been seen since and after the arrest of a man yesterday, police began scouring an Upper Colo property in the Hawkesbury today.

Police this afternoon confirmed they had found a body at the property, which is believed to be Dobbin's.

Neighbours who lived next to Bruce in Smithfield, in Sydney's west, have told 9News that he lived there with his elderly mother, whom he cared for.

They said he was well-known in the street and often organised Christmas gatherings.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to confirm the police theory Dobbin was shot dead.
Detectives identified Bruce as a suspect after he allegedly told police conflicting information about the incident multiple times.
He was arrested in Smithfield yesterday and has been charged with murder, hindering an investigation and the unlawful disposal of a corpse.
Police will allege Dobbin and Bruce were known to each other.
Bruce was refused bail and was scheduled to front court today.

In an update earlier today, Acting Superintendent Tim Calman said forensic officers were involved in the search for Dobbin's body.
"I would expect it to be an extensive search, probably will go over a couple of days," he said.
He said the extent of the relationship between the two men is still being investigated.
Calman said investigators are working with Dobbin's distraught family.
"Police spoke with the family yesterday ... obviously in these circumstances they are very, very upset," he said.
"Camden police continue to work with them as this investigation unfolds."
