Man charged with child sex offences

A 64-year-old man has been charged with a number of historic child sex offences on Sydney's lower north shore.

A police investigation was launched after two men told police about a number of incidents of sexual assault that allegedly happened in Lane Cove between 1972 and 1984.

The man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with a number of child sex-related offences.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in court on June 25.
