Man charged after violent Adelaide assault
A man has been refused bail after a fight in Adelaide’s CBD this morning.
Just after 5.00am this morning police and paramedics were called to Hindley Street after a fight allegedly broke out between two men.
Officers were quick to jump on the bloodied suspect, a 43-year-old Gilles Hill man, as ambulance crews worked on the unconscious victim a few hundred metres away.
The 22-year-old Ceduna man was taken to Royal Adelaide hospital with serious head injuries.
“It’s disgusting, there is absolutely no need for it, “a witness told 9NEWS.
A second arrested man was released without charge.
The 43-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily harm.
He was refused bail and will appear at Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
