Sydney man attempting to board plane arrested at airport over fatal shooting
A man attempting to board a flight to Thailand this morning was stopped by police and has been charged with the murder of a father-of-two.
Detectives arrested the 23-year-old man at Sydney International Airport at 9am.
He is accused of fatally shooting Abbotsford man Brad Dillon, 25, who died on Lords Road, Leichhardt on Monday August 11.
Dillon was allegedly shot several times. Despite paramedics attempting to revive him, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The accused man taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear via video link in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.
The investigation will continue and police expect to make more arrests.
