Brake line cut, bag of bullets hung from truck windscreen in threatening attack on Adelaide business owners

A 62-year-old man has been arrested after a hate-filled attack on an Adelaide business which included a bag of bullets hung from a windshield wiper of a tow truck.

The truck, parked outside an Enfield home, was allegedly sprayed with misspelled but menacing messages, while its tyres were also slashed and the brake line was cut.

Owners Zia Ali and Khodadad Jamili run a northern suburbs wrecking yard, and say they believe the attack was in retaliation for them turning in a thief caught stealing from their business a week ago.

A neighbour noticed the attacker at about 3am today and called the police.

Police attended the scene and arrested the driver of a car nearby, allegedly finding three stolen guns and a knife.

A 62-year-old man was charged over the incident, with two more guns allegedly found at his house.

The victims, who fled the Taliban in their native Afghanistan 15 years ago, say they are shocked to be living in fear once again.
