Two hurt after light plane ditches into trees in Victoria

Two people have survived after a light plane crashed into a tree in East Victoria.

A man in his 70s and a teenage boy were in the plane when it went down in South Gippsland.

The man suffered serious injuries and was flown to Alfred Hospital, while the teenager wasn't badly hurt.

The plane is thought to have taken off at nearby Yarram Aerodrome.
