Sydney bar stung with $10,000 fine over dancing patrons
A bar in Sydney's Inner West has been fined $10,000 after CCTV showed a large group of patrons dancing and breaching coronavirus social distancing requirements at the venue.
The footage was captured last month at Odyssey Bar and Restaurant in Leichhardt while strict safety restrictions were still in place for NSW public venues.
The vision shows patrons dancing, mingling and moving about various areas of the venue.

Liquor & Gaming Director of Compliance, Dimitri Argeres, said the footage showed a complete disregard for social distancing and confirmed the bar was given two $5,000 fines for the breaches.
"It's hard to fathom how staff could have failed to notice and stop things getting out of hand as patrons had in effect created multiple dancefloors," Mr Argeres said.
"The COVID Safe requirements are in place for a reason, and all venues need to make sure they are fully compliant."
