Last Holden to go under the hammer, expected to fetch more than $500,000
The last ever Holden is about to go under the hammer and is expected to fetch upwards of half a million dollars.
The pristine Holden VF series two SSV Redline was the final car body to be manufactured at Australia's only remaining Holden plant at Elizabeth in Adelaide, before it closed in October 2017.
The vehicle's condition is as it left the factory, with only 102 kilometres on the dial and still covered by protective plastic.

Owner Alex Kyriakopoulos worked at Holden for 14 years and was there as the final car was being made.
He snapped it up as it reached the dealership and is now ready to pass on the keys.
"It really is emotional for all of us that work at Holden, it's very emotional, it's our life," Mr Kyriakopoulos said.
"Your last one is always going to be the best one because we continued to improve and we definitely did that with the VF."
The car is almost identical to the one which featured in the final farewell at the Elizabeth Plant and is now on display at Birdwood, in the Adelaide Hills.

Since Holden closed, demand for vehicles has soared.
And Mr Kyriakopoulos says it's no surprise his car is attracting plenty of interest from collectors, investors and enthusiasts alike.
"This car could very well fetch over half a million dollars," he said.
"Maybe someone who buys might enjoy it more than I definitely would have because I'm too scared to drive it."
