Labor wooing small parties for preferences

Labor is reportedly wooing minor parties in around 20 seats where it thinks it can use their preferences to beat the coalition and the Greens.

Labor is hoping to win over the preferences of parties such as Family First and the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party, by offering the prospect of ALP support in Senate contests, The West Australian reported on Thursday.

Labor wants right-wing minor parties to run in 17 seats crucial to the election outcome and left-wing parties in inner-city seats to direct preferences away from coalition MPs and candidates.
